Chicago Series
My Chicago series is a union between two of my favorites on a canvas, cities and dogs. And unless you have not spent any time in city neighborhoods, you know that dogs are permanent fixtures in most of them. They’re everywhere just as they should be. They make wherever they exist so much better, and a lot more fun!
As for my love of painting cities, there is just something that pulls me in. Sometimes it’s a street corner, or perhaps the angle of a building, or the way the sun hits a window, or maybe graffiti on a sign. Sometimes it’s all those things, in addition to the people and animals who live there and are simply going about their lives. It’s a slice of humanity and I just love it. Therefore, I paint it!

Dogs
Each dog has a story and I simply love sharing it. So, when I take on a commission, I want to learn as much as I can about him or her. This helps me capture the soul of my subject and create a more meaningful piece. And as we all know, dogs truly have the most beautiful souls.

Rain
I’m very excited to share my newest series, Rain. It’s a twist on my usual urban scenes, potentially a little more reflective and melancholy though. For me, rainy days can elicit an assortment of emotions, and looking at our lives through the rain (literally and figuratively) can be both clarifying and distorting. Life is messy like a rainy day, but when we can bring ourselves to focus on each raindrop, or a small joy, that’s when we can see the reflections, the vibrant colors, and beauty of the moment. I hope you enjoy!
