Just a day in my life.... commuting to work on a rainy Monday morning. This scene in River North just captured my attention. I'm not sure why, but I needed to preserve it. Finding the beauty and significance in the mundane is something I’m always striving for, even though I don't always find it.

I added my sweet nephew dog, Charlie, a terrier mix/mutt to the painting. He's such an independent guy, but NOT a city dog. So, it's kind of amusing for him to have a cameo in this very urban scene in downtown Chicago. I think he pulled it off.
