Mini in The Loop, 18” x 24”

Back in my 20's, I was envious of those who worked in the Loop. Somehow in my twenty-something mind, it meant you had an important job like banking or trading or something similar. Careers I had no interest in. But I did love the idea of wearing a suit, commuting on the el, and most importantly, meeting up for happy hour. Clearly, I watched too many 90's Rom-Coms.

I'm happy to let you know I'm no longer envious of those who schlep to and from the Loop every weekday. But I do love seeing it being reimagined after covid did a number on it. It's back and making a beautiful transformation where people not only work, but live, dine, shop and enjoy the arts more than ever.

In addition to the buildings, el tracks, people and so on, I hope you noticed the little pup having a ride in her carrier. This is sweet Mini, a dear old friend of mine. Mini passed away in 2023 in Hawaii where she lived out her last years in paradise.
