This painting, #3 in my series, was so fun to create. This is Wicker Park where I lived and raised my kids for many years. WP is vibrant, fun, grungy, diverse, alive and so many other things all wrapped up in one. It has its challenges like anywhere but will always be near and dear to my heart. And speaking of my heart, I included my loves in this piece. Buddy and Diesel enjoy nothing more than feeling the wind and seeing the world through an open back door car window. If only seeing the joy in this world were that simple for all of us. Always taking life lessons from my boys.
